Reading Groups

We are having a great time in our reading groups.  This is truly one of my favorite parts of my day.  Please ask your kids about the books they are reading.  Some kids are reading fiction books, while others are reading nonfiction books.  We are doing some comparison work (different books on the same subject) and it has produced some very interesting conversations.  They are asking great questions and are very curious learners.  We are working on a variety of strategies to use while reading (what to do when you come across an unknown word, how to summarize a paragraph, writing facts, etc.).
