The Wild Robot

We thought of character traits that describe Roz.  Then we took one of those traits and provided EVIDENCE about how we knew it was true.  This was a great way to show them how easy it is to provide EVIDENCE when writing.  

We finished the book The Wild Robot on Friday.  This is an incredible story and I hope you ask your kids to tell you about it.  Roz is a complex character and everyone LOVES her.  So many things happen to Roz over the course of the story.  We talk about her character traits, how she changes, what changes happened when she became a mom to Brightbill, and the many relationships she had with the animals on the island.  SO.  MUCH.  TO.  DISCUSS.  We will write about the book, but before we do, we made our very own ROBOTS on Friday!  They aren’t quite done, but they are off to a FABULOUS start!  Make sure you ask your kids about their robot creation!
