iPads have Landed in Room 306

What’s better than a BRAND NEW CART OF iPADS?  Not much.  J  A grant was written to buy an iPad cart for the third and fourth graders to use (the other grades have something similar) throughout the day.  At this point, we have 6 iPads that we have in our classroom every day.  This is in addition to the 6 Chromebooks we have as well.  Having 12 devices on hand is fabulous!  Many thanks to our wonderful PTO!  This week, we were able to use the iPads for IXL – which is already loaded and easy to access.  Kids can DRAW the number and the app transforms the handwriting into a typed number.  It’s so cool.  Kids were thrilled to have a chance to work on the iPads throughout the rest of the week.  We also used them for RAZ Kids and some kids started to do a bit of research about their report topic.  (More on that later!)
