Science

Worms one week, fungus the next!  We started a new experiment this week using mycelium plugs.  Kids will observe their petri dishes over the next few weeks and keep track of all of changes their wooden plugs make.  One wooden plug is covered in mycelium, while the other plug is plain wood.  Mycelium is the vegetative part of a fungus or fungus-like bacterial colony, consisting of a mass of branching, thread-like hyphae.
