Learning while MOVING our bodies!

These are intersecting line segments!

We spent some time this week on math vocabulary.  Instead of writing things down, we moved around the room, used funny voices and moved our bodies to show the meaning of words.  Here are some of the words we worked on:  parallel, intersecting lines, right angle, acute angle, obtuse angle, millimeter, and perpendicular.  Putting movements and voices with words is a great way for kids to remember new ideas – or even old ones!  Ask them to demonstrate these words!
