The Wild Robot by Peter Brown

We started reading The Wild Robot on the first day of school.  Reading out loud is one of my favorite things in life.  I love watching your kids as the story unwinds and love how excited they are to hear the book.  They are really enjoying this book and it has been so fun hearing their comments and questions.
Here are some questions you can ask your kids about the book:
How did the robot get to the island?
What do the animals on the island think of her?
What did she do to try and make friends with the animals?
What is her name?
Explain how you’d feel if everyone was scared of you.
Would you like to be her friend?  Why or why not?

What are some ways we make friends in our own lives?

Another favorite part about reading?  When they moan and groan when I STOP reading!  They want me to keep reading!  Yay!!
