Roll Call

Check the beat!  This is a very popular morning meeting greeting.  It’s fun to do, and we learn a bit more about each other every time we do it.  Our morning meetings are such an important part of our day.  It’s a place we can discuss classroom issues (putting things away, issues with subs, upcoming events, etc.), and even more importantly, where we learn about one another.  We share a lot about ourselves in these meetings.  Over time, it has been really interesting to see people grow and change within our meetings.  We also learn how to listen, take turns, and respect our classmates during our meetings.  Although this is part of Responsive Classroom, I have been doing meetings since I began teaching.  Building a sense of community is SO IMPORTANT!  Ask your kids what they like about morning meetings and what they share every day.
