Michigan – Great Lakes Brochures

These are amazing!  They worked really hard and put a LOT of effort into their brochures.  Our cover allowed them to choose a catchy title and arrange our amazing lakes into the landform that makes up our fantastic state.  The inside of the brochure shows a picture of THE WATER CYCLE and a list of important vocabulary words.  On the left side, kids had a FREE space and could fill this space with any information about our spectacular state that interested them.  On the right side, they focused on the GLEP trip (Great Lakes Educational Program) to the Detroit River and Lake Erie.  This section was the easiest for kids to complete!  J  The back cover is home to a Michigan flip book offering information about the state along with facts about INVASIVE SPECIES.  We watched videos, read articles, investigated the internet, and read our Watery Earth book to gain information and knowledge to fill our brochures.  I am SO proud of them!  Bravo!
