THINKING about
Flora and Ulysses

You know me, I love to read books out loud to your kids.  One of our last books, Flora and Ulysses, was a favorite.  It tells the story of a girl and her squirrel.  Yup, really.  As it turns out, when a squirrel is vacuumed up by her neighbor, Flora finds herself a new best friend, a super hero, and an unlikely series of events that reconnects her with BOTH of her parents.  This is an adorable book.  Once a self-proclaimed cynic, Flora embarks on an adventure with her new best friend, and squirrel, Ulysses.  Using COMICLIFE (a really cool application) I created a series of pictures from the book.  They had to add THOUGHT BUBBLES to these pictures depicting things the characters would THINK.  They needed to make the thoughts reasonable and couldn’t copy what they had read in the book.
Bravo!
