Poetry…it’s getting better and better!

Wow!  We had a great time on Friday.  Poetry Friday was fantastic!  In the morning, we started our day writing poems about the stuffed animals I found at IKEA.  They held a contest in Europe and asked kids to draw monsters.  Ten monsters were selected and turned into stuffed animals.  They.  Are.  Awesome.  We used them as our muses.  The poems your children wrote were fantastic.  Talent abounds in room 306.  I love that letting them choose a stuffed animal from a pile can produce such creative and funny poems. 

In the afternoon, we tackled Betty Botter.  Whoa.  My tongue hurt after hearing how fast they were!  Totally cool.  I have video footage and will share it with you soon!  This week, we will finish our own alliteration poems.
