A Fairy Tale Beginning to Our Week

Greetings!  We had such a fun re-entry into our week!  I have a set of 30 cards with a line of a short “play” that we used during our morning meeting.  We stood in a circle, practiced the line and then tried it out.  It.  Was.  Hilarious.  They laughed, pranced, yelled, leaped, and twirled while delivering their lines.  We did it a second time (gotta work out the kinks!) and it was even better.  We were lucky enough to have our Spanish teacher come into class a little early and we performed it for her as well.  It takes about 5 minutes and it was EPIC.  Another fun way to read, perform and talk about genres!  In this case, mixing fairy tale stories together to create a zany play-let.
