Camp Read-A-Lot 2017!
Thanks to our amazing guest readers!  What a fun treat!

What's better than reading in a tent?  Not much.

That magical moment when our guest reader starts to read a book you brought in to read!  It was delightful to hear these two perform this book together!  Bravo!

Who knew s'mores were so good when made in a microwave!?  Yum!

This is one of my favorite activities.  There are blankets, pillows, stuffed animals, flashlights, sleeping bags and books strewn throughout the classroom.  We had three guest readers (Thanks to Karen, Jen and Tracy!), s’mores, snacks, and tons of time to read with our friends.  I read from Flora and Ulysses, and we talked about what’s happening with the characters.  Holy bagumba!  Holy unanticipated occurances!  These are two phrases we hear a lot while reading this amazing book.  J  Here are some questions to ask your child about this book:
How has Flora changed since the beginning of the story?
What makes Ulysses so special?
Why do you think Flora hates that lamp so much?
How has George Buckman changed?  What does he say all of the time?  (Get ready, they will repeat this over and over!)

Who is Dr. Meechum?
