Morning Messages Are Fabulous!

Routine is a very important part of the days we spend together.  Kids work well with routine and I do my best to give them many routines throughout the day.  Our morning message is displayed every morning on our white board.  They know what’s expected of them each morning: come in, put chairs down, turn in papers, and read the morning message.  The message usually has them DO something (because 3/4 of our week starts with a special at 8:55, tasks are usually quick).  On days (2/5 of our week) we have some extra time, longer tasks can be accomplished.  On Mondays, we are lucky enough to have a great deal of time in the morning.  Last Monday, we were able to work on our INFERENCING skills and then talked about what we came up with in our morning meeting.

Here’s a peek into our morning messagesour messages from our week.
