WONDERful WRITING in Room 306

We have spent a lot of time writing about Wonder in these last several weeks.  There are so many things to write about and because kids connect with the story and characters, it’s easier for them to write responses when given assignments.  We write on the anchor chart, in our Reader’s Notebooks, and in our poetry books.  We write a LOT.  We write about a lot of different things, but I am really enjoying reading what they write about Auggie and what he's going through.  The homework packets were AMAZING this week!  I loved their responses and am so proud of their writing skills.
Bravo!
Here are some things to ask your child about Wonder:
What happened with Jack and Auggie?  Did they become friends again?  Why?
What’s happening with Julian?
Why did Jack avoid Auggie at lunch when the school year began?  What made him change his mind about sitting with Auggie?
What do you think is going to happen next?
Why didn’t Via tell her parents about the play she’s in?
Look for more writing assignments in homework packets!
